The side mounted magnetic flip column level gauge is a product introduced, absorbed, digested, improved, and developed by our company according to the magnetic level gauge standard HG/T21584-95 issued by the former Ministry of Chemical Industry. It can be used for medium level detection of various towers, tanks, tanks, spherical containers, boilers and other equipment. This series of magnetic level gauges can achieve high sealing, leak prevention, and adapt to liquid level measurement under high pressure, high temperature, and corrosive conditions, with reliable safety. It makes up for the shortcomings of unclear indication and easy breakage of glass tube (plate) level gauges, which are not affected by high and low temperature fluctuations and do not require the combination of multiple level gauges. The entire measurement process has no blind spots, prominent display, intuitive readings, and a large measurement range. Especially in the on-site indication section, as it does not come into direct contact with the liquid level medium, it is more effective against high temperature, high pressure, high viscosity, toxic, harmful, and highly corrosive media. Therefore, it has higher reliability, safety, performance, and practicality than traditional U-glass tubes and plate level gauges.

The liquid level gauge is developed based on the principle of buoyancy and magnetic coupling. When the liquid level in the tested container rises or falls, the float in the main tube of the level gauge also rises or falls accordingly. The magnetic steel inside the float is transmitted to the on-site indicator through magnetic coupling, driving the red and white flip columns to flip 180 degrees. When the liquid level rises, the flip column changes from white to red, and when the liquid level drops, it changes from red to white. The red and white boundary of the indicator is the actual height of the medium liquid level in the container, thus achieving the indication of the liquid level.

Steel pipe flange standard

The connecting flanges of the liquid level gauges produced by our factory are all in accordance with the Ministry of Chemical Industry (HG20592-20635-97) standard implemented on February 1, 1998. This standard is revised based on the original standards HGJ44-76-91 and HG20529-92, with reference to ISO7005-1 (1992) standard and ANSI and DIN standards. The revised new standard includes two universal systems in Europe and America, forming a complete set of content, clear system, suitable for national conditions, and in line with the standards for pipe flanges, gaskets, and fasteners. The applicable steel pipe outer diameter of this standard has been expanded from the domestic series to the universal series (A) and the domestic series (B).

Example of Selection

The measuring medium is the liquid level of 31% hydrochloric acid storage tank, with a density of 1.14g/cm3. The main material of the liquid receiving body is PVC, connected by flat welding flanges, equipped with a drain valve and explosion-proof magnetic liquid level controller. The measuring range is 3000mm, and the working pressure is 0.6MPa.

Measure the liquid level of the acetic acid storage tank using a side mounted steam jacket type magnetic level gauge. The bottom of the level gauge is not equipped with a drain valve, and the main material is made of stainless steel (304) with a loose flange connection, without any auxiliary devices. The mating flange on the user device should pay attention to ensuring the form and position tolerances during manufacturing and welding, otherwise it will affect installation and use.

The "M" in the external structure diagram is called the "sinking distance" of the magnetic level gauge, which is an important parameter that users must understand - one of the basic parameters of a level gauge. According to Archimedes' theorem, the length of the magnetic float in a liquid level gauge depends on the density of the measured liquid medium. The lower the density of the liquid medium, the longer the magnetic float, and the longer the "sinking distance" from the bottom of the main conduit to the bottom of the main conduit. Conversely, the shorter the distance, the shorter the distance. For the convenience of designers and users to use and install correctly, a comparison table of typical liquid medium density and sedimentation distance is provided for reference. Installation, use, and maintenance

To prevent the magnetic float from being impacted due to high-speed movement inside the main conduit during transportation, the level gauge is fixed to the lower drainage pipe with a card wire before leaving the factory. Users should remove the card wire before installation and use.

The installation of the liquid level gauge must be vertical to ensure that the magnetic float can move freely up and down inside the main tube.

A shut-off valve should be installed between the liquid level gauge and the container to cut off the material during cleaning and maintenance.

Magnetic conductors are not allowed to approach the cylinder of the liquid level gauge, otherwise it will directly affect the normal operation of the liquid level gauge.

After the installation of the liquid level gauge, it is necessary to calibrate it with magnetic steel and guide the magnetic flip column once to display red below zero and white above zero.

When the liquid level gauge is put into operation, the upper liquid inlet valve should be opened first, and then the lower liquid inlet valve should be slowly opened to allow the liquid medium to smoothly enter the main pipe, avoiding the rapid rise of the liquid medium with the float, which may cause the magnetic flip column to malfunction or flip randomly (if this phenomenon occurs, magnetic steel can be used to recalibrate).

When opening the bottom flange blind plate and installing the magnetic float, attention should be paid to the heavy end with the magnetic end facing upwards and not inverted!

There should be no solid impurities or magnetic impurities entering the simplified body of the liquid level gauge to avoid jamming the float and reducing buoyancy.

According to the condition of the medium, the drain valve can be opened regularly to clean the main pipe and remove the sediment inside the pipe.
